The highest summit in Mexico.

Mexico's highest summit is a high-difficulty expedition over the Jamapa Glacier. It requires excellent fitness, previous acclimatization and a 10-to-14-hour day, with safe rope-team progression at a maximum ratio of two participants per guide.

    Departure from Mexico City

    Meet at Parque México in Condesa and transfer to San Miguel Zoapan.

  2. Saturday · 10:30 AM–12:00 PM

    Arrival and breakfast

    Welcome in San Miguel Zoapan, breakfast and gear preparation before entering camp.

  3. Saturday · 12:00–2:30 PM

    Camp and acclimatization

    Camp setup and an acclimatization hike before the technical session.

  4. Saturday · 2:30–6:30 PM

    Briefing, dinner and rest

    Technical explanations, group time, dinner and an early rest for the ascent.

  5. Sunday · 12:00–6:00 AM

    Summit push

    The climb starts at midnight with an estimated summit window around 6:00 AM.

  6. Sunday · 12:30–3:30 PM

    Return and camp breakdown

    Return to camp, breakdown, recovery meal and preparation for departure.

  7. Sunday · 3:30–9:00 PM

    Return to Mexico City

    Departure from San Miguel Zoapan with estimated arrival at the meeting point around 9:00 PM.
